Illustrative. The 24 bands are a demonstration of one pass per band, not a schedule of how long anything takes.

The block becomes a tooth.

A crown used to mean a tray of putty, a temporary, and a second appointment. The practice's own page on single visit crowns describes what replaces that.

  1. Scan

No impression tray. The crown starts from the tooth that is already in your mouth.

“crowns that eliminate the need for impressions, temporaries, and the second fitting appointment”

  2. Design

The crown is designed for that tooth before anything gets cut, and the design keeps more of the tooth underneath.

“the dentist can custom-design a crown for each tooth and preserve more of the tooth structure than ever before”

  3. Mill and seat

The machine cuts it in the office, and the same appointment ends with it on the tooth.

“designed, milled, and installed on the same day”

Ten services, one dentist.

The office lists ten. Here is each one in a sentence, so you know which door to walk through.

  1. General dentistry

Checkups and repairs, on the theory that what happens in your mouth shows up in the rest of you.

    General
  2. Cosmetic dentistry

Shade, shape and proportion planned against your skin tone, face shape, hair color and lip line.

    Cosmetic
  3. Fillings and bonding

The damaged material comes out of the hole, resin goes in, and the tooth stops there.

    Restorative
  4. Crowns and veneers

A crown caps an implant or holds a bridge. A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain bonded to the front of a tooth.

    Restorative
  5. Dentures, partials and implant-supported dentures

Replacements for some or all of the teeth, including versions that anchor to implants.

    Restorative
  6. Periodontal treatments

Gum disease care, matched to how far along it is when you come in.

    Preventative
  7. Hygiene and preventative

Cleanings, deep cleanings, and the catch-up work after a few missed years.

    Preventative
  8. Implant restorations

The titanium post goes into the jaw, the abutment connects it, and the crown is the part you see.

    Restorative
  9. Invisalign (clear braces)

Clear aligners for crowding, gaps and some protrusion, with a free consultation to see if your case fits.

    Cosmetic
  10. TMD and TMJ

Jaw joint pain, clicking and the lockjaw people mean when they say TMJ, treated as a joint problem.

The dentist

Dr. Ankur Jolly trained at Detroit Mercy, then did a general practice residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and the Iowa City VA, where the patients were medically complicated and the training was built around that. Fourteen years of practice in Colorado came next, with implant training through 3i Synergy, membership in the Seattle Study Club, and coursework at the Dawson Academy. 5280 magazine has named him one of Colorado's Top Dentists every year since 2008.

He was born in Canada, raised in Michigan, and met his wife during residency in Iowa. Six children, two dogs, bikes, a yard, and a kitchen he actually cooks in. They came back to the Midwest to be closer to family.

Turns pens on a lathe. Says it's the same idea.
